Whatever time of year you visit Mammoth Lakes you can rely on our public transportation system to get you where you need. ESTA offers a daily bus schedule and on-demand dial-a-ride service year-round.

Purple Line
The Town of Mammoth Lakes provides free year-round bus service throughout Mammoth Lakes. Purple Line goes from the College to the Village, stopping at the Mammoth Hospital, RV Park, Mammoth Lakes Welcome Center, and Main Street from 7:00 AM–6:00 PM.

TEAL LINE
The Teal Line operates between Old Mammoth and the Village at Mammoth, stopping at the Community Recreation Center, Vons, Mammoth Hospital, and Mono Street from 7:00 AM–6:00 PM. View Teal Line Route

Winter Night Trolley
The free Night Trolley operates every 30 minutes from 5:40 PM until 10:00 PM seven nights per week.

Dial-a-Ride
This door-to-door route operates year-round for the general public. Rides offered Monday-Friday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. The cost is $2.40–4.20 (depending on the zone). Call 760.924.3184 for reservations.

Winter Routes typically run from mid-November through late April.

To Main Lodge
The Red Line operates every 20 minutes, 7 days per week from 7:00 AM until 5:30 PM. The Red Line provides service throughout town via Old Mammoth Road and Main Street traveling between the Community Recreation Center and Mammoth Mountain Main Lodge.

To Juniper Springs Resort, Eagle Lodge, canyon lodge & The Village
The early season Blue/Green Combo Line operates from 7:25 AM to 5:25 PM with service between Juniper Springs Resort/Eagle Lodge, The Village, and Canyon Lodge every 30 minutes.

To Canyon Lodge and The Village
The Blue Line operates from 7:05 AM until 5:20 PM with service between The Village at Mammoth and Canyon Lodge.

To Juniper Springs Resort, Eagle Lodge & The Village
The Yellow Line operates from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM with service between Juniper Springs Resort/Eagle Lodge and The Village every 20 minutes.

To Juniper Springs Resort, Eagle Lodge & Downtown
The Green Line operates from 7:30 AM until 5:30 PM with service between Juniper Springs Resort/Eagle Lodge and the downtown area at the intersection of Meridian and Old Mammoth Road (Vons).

To Tamarack Lodge and Cross-Country Ski Center
The Orange Line operates from 7:30 AM until 5:15 PM with service between The Village at Mammoth and Tamarack Lodge and Cross-Country Ski Center. Departs The Village starting at 7:30 AM, with the last departure from The Village at 5:00 PM and the last bus from Tamarack Lodge at 5:15 PM. Departs The Village every 30 minutes at :00 & :30, and Tamarack Lodge every 30 minutes at :15 and :45 past the hour.

Spring Routes typically run from April through May.

Spring shoulder season is a great time to visit. See below for spring bus routes and operating schedule, including modified Red Line service and the Town Trolley.

Modified Red Line service runs from The Village at Mammoth to Main Lodge with transfers to the trolley at the village. The first bus leaves the village at Stop #69 at Canyon Blvd near the gondola at 7:30 AM and the last bus leaves Main Lodge at 5:15 PM. Buses run every 30 minutes.

The Town Trolley service runs from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM every 30 minutes.

Route closed for the season
The Green/Blue Combo Line operates every 30 minutes, 7 days per week from 7:00 AM until 5:30 PM. The Combo Line provides service between The Village and Juniper Springs Resort/Eagle Lodge via the Green Line route, and between The Village and Canyon Lodge via the Blue Line route. Please note that this line operates when Canyon and Eagle Lodge are closed for the season.

Summer Routes typically run from late May through early September.

With so much to see and do in Mammoth during the summer months, it's important you get to where you need with ease. Hop on the Mammoth Bike Park Shuttle to get to Main Lodge, or take the Trolley up to the Lakes Basin for a day on the lake or adventure out on a hike.

Town Trolley
The Town Trolley operates approximately every 30 minutes, stopping at locations including Juniper Springs Resort, Vons, The Village, and Canyon Lodge.

Lakes Basin Trolley
The Lakes Basin Trolley provides service from The Village to the Lakes Basin area, including Tamarack Lodge. The trolley also pulls a bike trailer to transport you and your bike uphill to enjoy the downhill ride on the stunning Lakes Basin Bike Trail.

Bike Park Shuttle
Closed for the Season
Offers free transportation service between The Village and Main Lodge on a space-available basis, leaving The Village from stop #90 (on Canyon Blvd.) on the quarter from 9:00 AM–5:30 PM. The last shuttle leaves Main Lodge at 5:10 PM and and The Village at 5:30 PM. Priority is given to Bike Park riders and a valid bike park ticket is required to transport a bicycle.
