Parking options

All lots typically open at 6:00 AM, but may be limited or delayed by conditions. Please note that during heavy storm cycles, snow removal using heavy equipment takes place across our roads and parking lots. Please be advised that parking availability may change, do not park in a lot where snow removal is taking place.

Preferred Parking | Paid

By request, Preferred Parking is now available at all lodges on a first come, first served basis. Preferred Parking gives you easy access to your vehicle throughout the day, making it great for families or those who don't like to set an early alarm. Look for the white and black “Preferred Parking” signs, and for the parking attendant that will take your payment. Your parking space will not be reserved for you if you leave.

General Parking | Free

Each base lodge – Main, Canyon, and Eagle Lodges – offers parking areas free of charge. There are also free parking lots available at Chair 4 and Chair 2 (The Mill). Please refer to the parking maps at the top of the page.

Overnight Parking | Seasonal

Winter: Overnight parking is prohibited in all parking areas during the winter season. Violators will be towed or ticketed for obstructing snow removal.
Summer: Overnight parking is prohibited in Mammoth lots, but is allowed downhill from shuttle stop B and further along HWY 203 on the ski area side, at owner's risk during the summer months. No overnight camping is allowed.

Black Pass Parking Area | Permit Required

Mammoth Black pass holders are offered designated priority parking as part of their exclusive pass holder benefits. A valid Black Pass parking permit must be visible. Violators will be booted and charged a service fee.

The Village Parking | FREE & PAID OPTIONS

The Village offers a number of free 2-hour parking spaces, as well as paid parking in the general lot. The Village is also the hub for the free town shuttles, with convenient bus stops for the Red, Blue, Yellow, Purple, Orange, and Green Line routes. Leave your car and shuttle to The Village, where you can easily access shopping, dining, and the slopes via the bus or gondola.
