Easily Get to the Mountain & Around Town
After you arrive in Mammoth, leave your car parked and get up to the mountain easily thanks to the Eastern Sierra Transit Authority (ESTA). This convenient bus service offers complimentary transportation all around the town of Mammoth Lakes, including each of our mountain base lodges.

To Main Lodge
Modified Red Line service runs from The Village at Mammoth to Main Lodge with transfers to the trolley at the village. The first bus leaves the village at Stop 90 at Canyon Blvd near the gondola at 7:30 AM and the last bus leaves Main Lodge at 4:45 PM. Buses run every 30 minutes. The Red Line provides service throughout town via Old Mammoth Road and Main Street traveling between Stop #2 on Old Mammoth Road near Ranch Road and Mammoth Mountain Main Lodge. View Red Line Route
Spring Town Trolley
The Town Trolley service runs from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM every 30 minutes.
With so much to see and do in Mammoth during the summer months, it's important you get to where you need with ease. Hop on the Mammoth Bike Park Shuttle to get to Main Lodge, or take the Trolley up to the Lakes Basin for a day on the lake or adventure out on a hike.
Bike Park Shuttle
Offers free transportation service between The Village and Main Lodge on a space-available basis, leaving The Village from stop #90 (on Canyon Blvd.) on the quarter from 9:00 AM–4:30 PM. Priority is given to Bike Park riders and a valid bike park ticket is required to transport a bicycle.
Town Trolley
The Town Trolley operates approximately every 30 minutes, stopping at locations including Snow Creek Athletic Club, Juniper Springs Resort, Vons, The Village, and Canyon Lodge. View Town Trolley Routes
Lakes Basin Trolley
This route provides service from The Village to the Lakes Basin area, including Tamarack Lodge. The trolley also pulls a bike trailer to transport you and your bike uphill to enjoy the downhill ride on the stunning Lakes Basin Bike Trail. View Lakes Basin Trolley Routes

Year-Round Route Info
Purple Line
The Town of Mammoth Lakes provides free year-round bus service throughout Mammoth Lakes. Purple Line goes from the College to the Village, stopping at the Mammoth Hospital, RV Park, Mammoth Lakes Welcome Center, and Main Street from 7:00 AM–6:00 PM.
TEAL LINE
The Teal Line operates between Old Mammoth and the Village at Mammoth, stopping at the Community Recreation Center, Vons, Mammoth Hospital, and Mono Street from 7:00 AM–6:00 PM. View Teal Line Route
Dial-a-Ride
This door-to-door route operates year-round for the general public. Rides offered Monday-Friday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. The cost is $2.40–4.20 (depending on the zone). Call 760.924.3184 for reservations.
When the weather is dicey and parking is limited, taking the transit system is the way to go. From buses to get you to all of our base lodges and nighttime trolleys so you can après with ease in town, we have you covered.
To Main Lodge
The Red Line operates every 20 minutes, 7 days per week from 7:00 AM until 5:30 PM. The Red Line provides service throughout town via Old Mammoth Road and Main Street traveling between the Community Recreation Center and Mammoth Mountain Main Lodge.
To Canyon Lodge and The Village
The Blue Line operates from 7:05 AM until 5:20 PM with service between The Village at Mammoth and Canyon Lodge.
To Juniper Springs Resort, Eagle Lodge & The Village
The Yellow Line operates from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM with service between Juniper Springs Resort/Eagle Lodge and The Village every 20 minutes.
To Juniper Springs Resort, Eagle Lodge & Downtown
The Green Line operates from 7:30 AM until 5:30 PM with service between Juniper Springs Resort/Eagle Lodge and the downtown area at the intersection of Meridian and Old Mammoth Road (Vons).
Winter Night Trolley
The free wintertime Night Trolley operates every 30 minutes from 5:40 PM until 10:00 PM seven nights per week.
To Tamarack Lodge and Cross-Country Ski Center
CLOSED FOR THE SEASON
The Orange Line operates from 7:30 AM until 5:15 PM with service between The Village at Mammoth and Tamarack Lodge and Cross-Country Ski Center. Departs The Village starting at 7:30 AM, with the last departure from The Village at 5:00 PM and the last bus from Tamarack Lodge at 5:15 PM. Departs The Village every 30 minutes at :00 & :30, and Tamarack Lodge every 30 minutes at :15 and :45 past the hour.
