Free Mountain Shuttle
Easily Get to the Mountain & Around Town
After you arrive in Mammoth, leave your car parked and get up to the mountain easily thanks to the Eastern Sierra Transit Authority (ESTA). This convenient bus service offers complimentary transportation all around the town of Mammoth Lakes, including each of our mountain base lodges.
Bus Routes
No dogs are allowed on the slopes, lifts or gondolas. This includes all areas near and around lodges, slopes, and lifts, at all times. Only working service animals are permitted inside Mammoth Mountain base lodges. Emotional support and companion dogs are not covered under ADA service animal policy and therefore are not permitted inside lodges. Dogs are permitted in our parking lots but must be leashed according to the Town of Mammoth Lakes leash laws. MMSA does not recommend leaving dogs in or tied to a vehicle, and will report any significant concerns for animal welfare to our local to animal control.
Muzzled or caged dogs are allowed on Mammoth Mountain parking shuttles as well as the free mountain shuttle system run by the Eastern Sierra Transit Authority (ESTA).
Leashed dogs are permitted to walk on the road to Minaret Vista (snow-covered in winter months), but please be cautious of skier and snowboard traffic along the Lower Road Runner ski trail.
Leashed dogs are permitted on the Public Access Corridor that runs along Lake Mary Road in the Mammoth Lakes Basin up to Horseshoe Lake. Dogs are NOT allowed on the side of the trail containing the groomed cross-country tracks trails, and are not allowed on any other groomed trails in the Lakes Basin.
