Located at Main Lodge, the Adventure Center is your launchpad for alpine adventure. From downhill laps in the Bike Park to high-alpine hikes, mini golf, and gondola rides to 11,053 feet, it’s all in reach right here. Whether you're getting geared up or just taking it all in, this is where the action begins.

Via Ferrata

Challenge yourself with a guided climbing adventure on the rugged cliffs of Mammoth Mountain. Via Ferrata, which means “iron path,” is a network of climbing routes using steel cables, iron rungs and suspended bridges fixed to the rock that climbers are attached to for safety. With six different routes that progress in difficulty, Via Ferrata is the perfect alpine activity for families and individuals.

Reds Meadow Shuttle

The majesty of these natural wonders lie just over the shoulder of Mammoth Mountain in the San Joaquin River Valley. To preserve its pristine nature, visitors must ride the shuttle for access to the Devils Postpile National Monument.

Hiking

No matter your ability, you can find a rewarding and scenic hike on Mammoth Mountain. Make it a big adventure with a round-trip hike, or take in the views with a Scenic Gondola Ride uphill (ticket required) to either the top or mid-station, followed by a downhill journey on foot.

Mammoth Bike Park

Whether it’s your first time riding on dirt, or you’re a downhill wizard, the Mammoth Bike Park delivers the ultimate high-alpine riding experience for everyone. With 80+ miles of singletrack offering plenty of pavers, berms, jumps and drops, as well as our beginner-friendly Discovery Zone, there’s two-wheeled fun for all at the country’s premier lift-served bike park.

Scenic Gondola Rides

Take an aerial ride up Mammoth Mountain on the Panorama Gondola to explore all the fun at 11,053 ft. At the top, snap a selfie at the summit sign, enjoy lunch with panoramic views at the Eleven53 Café, and discover the history and wonder of the Sierra at the interpretive center.

Directions: Follow Hwy 203 into the town of Mammoth Lakes. Turn right at the second stoplight, Minaret Road. Take Minaret Road to Main Lodge (about four miles). When you reach the resort area, Main Lodge is on your left, and the Adventure Center (Panorama Gondola building), Yodler Restaurant & Bar, and Mammoth Mountain Inn are on your right.

  • Passengers 38"+ and 3+ yrs may ride with qualified adult
  • Must be in good health and able to sit upright
  • This is an exciting, high speed, high-G force, physically demanding attraction. Participants must be in good health and have complete upper and lower body strength and control. If you have a heart condition, back or neck injuries, experience vertigo, have an inner ear issue, have a fear of heights, if you are pregnant or if you have any physical or mental condition that could possibly be aggravated, you must not participate.
