Get off the beaten path and take in the scenic sights on a snowmobile adventure through the High Sierra. Mellow cruisers and hard chargers alike will find big fun exploring tree-lined trails and massive meadows on a guided excursion.


Open 7 days a week, 8AM–4PM from December 19, 2020–April 11, 2021, weather and conditions permitting.


Head up Minaret Rd (Hwy 203) towards Main Lodge, and you'll find Mammoth Snowmobile Adventures located across the parking lot from Main Lodge.

Starting from the Snowmobile Adventure headquarters, located behind Yodler Restaurant & Bar, this tour takes in the beauty of the surrounding forests, Minaret Summit and the exceptional higher elevation trail riding in the area.

Arrival Time for All Tours

Please arrive to Snowmobile Adventures at least 45 minutes before your scheduled ride for payment processing, helmet fitting, safety briefing and to fill out liability forms. We cannot guarantee a place on a guided tour if you do not show up within 45 minutes of the tour departure time.

Guests with a tour booked are encouraged to use the Snowmobile Adventures parking lot located behind the Yodler.

What to Bring

Bring protective eyewear: sunglasses or goggles. Outerwear and five fingered gloves recommended.

All Snowmobile Adventure tours are wind/weather and conditions dependent.

Passengers riding with minors (ages16-18) must be over 18 years of age.

Snowmobiling FAQs

Where is Snowmobile Adventures located?

Mammoth Snowmobile Adventures is located adjacent to Mammoth's Main Lodge and is the only snowmobile outfit operated by Mammoth Mountain Ski Area. We recommend using public transportation and taking the Red Line to Main Lodge. Parking is available for Snowmobile Adventure customers behind the Yodler Restaurant & Bar.

Are helmets included with the rental?

Yes, helmets are included. Rental clothing isnot available at this time.

What should I wear?

Snow specific outerwear with layers underneath. Sorel style boots are recommended along with warm winter gloves. Wear protective eyewear: sunglasses or goggles.

What are the minimum age requirements?

Minimum age of tour passenger is 5 years. Minimum age to drive a snowmobile is 16 years old with a driver's license and a parent present.

What type of insurance is provided?

Guided tours include $600 deductible insurance. Purchase of additional insurance (only $9 per rental) is recommended.

Are walk-ins welcome?

Walk-ins are welcome, based on availability. Reservations encouraged. Dates of operation are weather and conditions permitting and are subject to change.
