Get off the beaten path and take in the scenic sights on a snowmobile adventure through the High Sierra. Mellow cruisers and hard chargers alike will find big fun exploring over 100 miles of tree-lined trails and massive meadows on a guided excursion.
Families, first-timers, and those that like to explore are all welcome to participate. Our guides know the region better than anyone, and can show you Mammoth in a whole new way. Follow them to take in the exceptional views, wide-open meadows, geological points of interest and secret stashes of powder.

Mammoth Snowmobile Adventures is located adjacent to Mammoth's Main Lodge and is the only snowmobile outfit operated by Mammoth Mountain Ski Area. We recommend using public transportation and taking the Red Line to Main Lodge. Parking is available for Snowmobile Adventure customers behind the Yodler Restaurant & Bar.
Snowmobile Adventures is closed for the season.
During the operating season, three tours are offered each day at 8:15 AM, 10:15 AM, and 1:15 PM. The first 45 minutes include helmet fitting, safety briefing, and liability forms. Guests can choose between a single or a double ride.
Yes, helmets are included. They are open face. Guests may bring their own helmets as long as they are DOT certified, appropriate for snowmobile use (full face) and approved by the Snowmobile Adventures staff.
Snow-specific outerwear with layers underneath. Sorel style boots are recommended along with warm winter gloves. Wear protective eyewear such as sunglasses or goggles.Rental clothing is not available at this time.
Minimum age for a tour passenger is 5 years old and at least 42" tall. Minimum age to drive a snowmobile is 16 years old with a driver's license and a parent or guardian present.
Guided tours include $800 deductible insurance. Purchase of additional insurance ($15 per rental) is recommended, that will bring the deductible down to $400.
Reservations are encouraged. Walk-ins are welcome, based on availability. Dates of operation are weather and conditions permitting and are subject to change.
