Get off the beaten path and take in the scenic sights on a snowmobile adventure through the High Sierra. Mellow cruisers and hard chargers alike will find big fun exploring tree-lined trails and massive meadows on a guided excursion.


Open daily 8AM–4PM during winter operations.
Weather and conditions permitting.


Head up Minaret Rd (Hwy 203) towards Main Lodge, and you'll find Mammoth Snowmobile Adventures located across the parking lot from Main Lodge.

Our guides know the region better than anyone and can show you Mammoth in a whole new way. Follow them to the best locations for exceptional views and secret stashes of untracked powder during a 1.5 hour tour.


Arrival Time

Please arrive to Snowmobile Adventures at least 30 minutes before your scheduled ride for payment processing, helmet fitting, safety briefing and to fill out liability forms. We cannot guarantee a place on a guided tour if you show up within 30 minutes of the tour departure time.

Snowmobiling FAQs

Where is Snowmobile Adventures located?
  • Mammoth Snowmobile Adventures is located adjacent to Mammoth's Main Lodge and is the only snowmobile outfit operated by Mammoth Mountain Ski Area.
Are helmets included with the rental?
  • Yes, helmets are included. Rental clothing is also available.
What are the minimum age requirements?
  • Minimum age of tour passenger is 5 years. Minimum age to drive a snowmobile is 16 years old with a driver's license and a parent present.
What type of insurance is provided?
  • Guided tours include $600 deductible insurance. Purchase of additional insurance (only $9 per rental) is recommended. There is no insurance coverage on self-guided rides.

Walk-ins welcome, based on availability. Reservations encouraged. Dates of operation are weather and conditions permitting and are subject to change.
