Skin to Win

Lung–burning fun for all at the Ski Mountaineering Challenge. Starting from Canyon Lodge, participants will skin their way through 5 ascents on Mammoth Mountain to complete this battle against themselves and the terrain. Ski mountaineering (ski mo), a high-altitude up and down challenge imported from Europe, is rapidly becoming one of the hottest new winter sports in North America. Mammoth's Ski Mountaineering Challenge is completely in-bounds, offering a safer and more convenient route than in the back-country, opening this new opportunity to competitors of all skill levels.
