About Joe Gray Jr.
Joe Gray grew up on Catalina Island, spending as much time as possible watching and sitting in with the many bands and musicians that frequented during the 50’s, 60’s & 70’s. Joe has played in Mammoth since 1972, starting out at the original Whiskey Creek and moving up to Tamarack Lodge in 2012.
Music Experience: Influenced by Basso Nova and 70’s music, Joe puts his own twist on music ranging from the 20’s to present day, focusing on covers from the 60’s & 70’s, throwing in his personal songs in between. Covers/renditions include “Use Me” by Bill Withers, “Wooden Ships” by Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young, and “Sailing” by Christopher Cross.
