An Uphill Fiesta

Lung–burning fun for all at the first Cinco de SkiMo on Cinco de Mayo – get your sombreros ready. Starting from Main Lodge, participants will skin their way through five ascents on Mammoth Mountain to complete this battle against themselves and the terrain. Ski mountaineering, a high-altitude up and down challenge imported from Europe, is rapidly becoming one of the hottest new winter sports in North America. Cinco de SkiMo is completely in-bounds, offering a safer and more convenient route than in the backcountry, opening this new opportunity to competitors of all skill levels.
