Junior Hill Safety Program

Mammoth Mountain’s Junior Ski Patrol program is a fun way to foster on-hill safety awareness and to introduce kids to the duties of a ski patroller. The program is open to the public for children ages 7-12 and will take place four times over the course of the winter, corresponding with the Cali4nia Pass Early Up events. Children will meet at the Main Lodge Ski Patrol Room at 9:30am and begin their day with an overview of what patrol does on a daily basis as well as learn basic safety and on-hill awareness. After the two hour session, each child will receive a “report card” that lists five safety tasks that they must complete to receive their official Mammoth Mountain Junior Ski Patrol official pin. The card can be shown to the Main Lodge or Canyon Lodge Ski Patrol Room and each child will receive their pin in an “official” pin ceremony presented by a member of the Mammoth Mountain Ski Patrol.
