Base Lodges

Welcome to Mammoth Mountain Ski Area

Start your day at any one of our base lodges scattered across the mountain. Be sure to plan ahead, especially when booking lessons and rentals since they are specific to each site. Parking availability varies at each lodge, but all are easily accessible via FREE local transportation. Main Lodge is the first to open and last to close each season, with Canyon and Eagle typically in operation from early December until late April. Closer to town, the Mountain Center offers many winter amenities in The Village, and is connected to Canyon Lodge and the mountain via our FREE Village Gondola. Main Lodge

With gondola access straight to the summit, terrain for all ability levels and expert parks, Main Lodge is a great place to start your day. Need gear? Mammoth Sports at Main Lodge has the latest outerwear, boards and skis to elevate your game. When it's time to take it all in, put your feet up at Yodler and enjoy great beer specials, live music and a killer view of the park.

Canyon Lodge

Conveniently located in town and accessible by shuttle, gondola or car, Canyon Lodge features plenty of amenities. Mammoth Sports at Canyon Lodge carries everything you need to have fun on the mountain, or you can hang out on the newly expanded sundeck and enjoy some eats and drinks, or get down at the best après party around.

Eagle Lodge

With a huge concentration of gentle beginner terrain and access to the steeps of Lincoln Mountain, Eagle Lodge is a great starting point for families and groups with varying skill levels and just a short shuttle ride away from town.

The Village at Mammoth

At the center of it all, the Village Gondola offers free access to/from Canyon Lodge, or you can return from a day on the slopes via the Ski Back Trail for après or dinner. The Mountain Center in The Village Plaza will get you set up with tickets, lessons and rentals, or stop by Mammoth Sports to find everything you need to hit the slopes in style (gear rentals also available). The Village is the the hub of the free mountain shuttle system, so this is the perfect spot to start and end your day.

The Mill

The Mill is located on Minaret Road approximately 3 miles past The Village and 1 mile before Main Lodge. With plenty of parking and lift access via Stump Alley Express (Chair 2) and Gold Rush Express (Chair 10), The Mill is the perfect rendezvous spot between Canyon and Main Lodge. The Mill offers a host of dining options as well as a bar and restroom facilities.
