Leave it all behind and explore the Mammoth Lakes Basin on snowshoes or Nordic skis. Rentals, lessons and guided tours are available from Tamarack Cross-Country Ski Center so you can experience the serene beauty of alpine lakes and ancient forests on over 19 miles (30 km) of groomed world-class trails.

Get off the beaten path and take in the scenic sights on a snowmobile adventure through the High Sierra. Mellow cruisers and hard chargers alike will find big fun exploring more than 100 miles of tree-lined trails and massive meadows on a self-guided excursion.

Woolly's Tube Park & Snow Play

Woolly's Tube Park & Snow Play

Skip the uphill hike and catch a lift to the top, then bomb down the groomed lanes as fast as you dare in a high-speed snow tube. Woolly’s Tube Park is all-time fun for all ages – even the littlest ones will find big fun in the snow play area. There's also a heated deck with snack bar offering hot cocoa and adult beverages. Available for buyout option for large groups.

Snowcat Tours

Snowcat Tours

Enjoy the heated comfort of a luxury snowcat tour up to one of Mammoth’s most scenic spots where you can take in the spectacular views of Mammoth Mountain, the Minarets, Ritter Range and beyond. At the vista, toast to the landscape and enjoy a spread of delicious eats. Each snowcat holds up to 12 people. Both tours are approximately two hours.

Scenic Gondola Rides

Scenic Gondola Rides

Take a Scenic Gondola Ride up Mammoth Mountain to explore all the fun at 11,053 ft. At the top, snap a selfie at the summit sign, enjoy lunch with panoramic views at the Eleven53 Café, and check out the interpretive center, where you'll discover the history and wonder of the Sierra. Adults and kids alike will enjoy learning about the geologic, natural, and cultural history of Mammoth. Kids 12 and under ride free.
