U.S. Collegiate Ski & Snowboard National Championships

Collegiate National Competition
The United States College Ski & Snowboard Association (USCSA) holds the U.S. Collegiate Ski & Snowboard National Championships in March of each year. The USCSA is the preeminent governing body for collegiate team ski racing and snowboarding in North America.
Teams typically qualify from the six regions at their Regional Championships and move on to competition at the National Championships. Over 500 athletes compete in the event, which alternates between eastern and western resorts each year.
Event Details
TRAIL CLOSURE NOTIFICATION
Trail closures will be in effect at Tamarack Cross-Country Ski Area during the US Collegiate Ski National Championships. Event courses will be closed for competition during race days. While we will have most of our trail network open to the general public during these events, please be aware of, and adherent to competition closures. See below for anticipated impacts, which are subject to change.
Monday, March 6 | 7.5K Classic Training: No day-of closure, but please be mindful of extra tracks on race course. |
Tuesday, March 7 | 7.5K Classic: Upper Lakes Basin Closed until 2:00 PM. |
Wednesday, March 8 | No day-of closure but course will be groomed for skate only (no tracks). Upper Lakes Basin course closure from 4:00 PM Thursday until 2:00 PM Friday. |
Thursday, March 9 | 15K Mass Start: Upper Lakes Basin Closed until 2:00 PM. |
Friday, March 10 | Upper Lakes Basin closed after 4:00 PM. |
Saturday, March 11 | Classic Team Sprint: Upper Lakes Basin Closed until 1:00 PM. |
EARLY & LATE SKIERS
Please be mindful of closures to avoid interfering with grooming or damaging courses.
Parking
Parking during the event will be open but limited. The Orange Line will depart from The Village at Mammoth at 6:30 AM during event days. We encourage all skiers to use public transit.
