The Mammoth Lakes Basin is a family favorite destination for hiking, biking, fishing and more. Begin your adventure at Twin Lakes, the first lake in the Basin at 8,500 feet. You can cast a line from the grounds of our shore-side resort, Tamarack Lodge, as well as enjoy Mammoth's most intimate fine dining experience at The Lakefront restaurant, located inside the lodge. Continue up Lake Mary Road (or the paved bike path) to find Lake Mary, Lake George, Lake Mamie, Horseshoe Lake and the many hiking trails leading to the higher elevation lakes in the Basin.

The Mammoth Lakes Basin offers hiking trails suitable for all levels. Some popular hikes include: Duck Pass Trail, McLeod Lake Trail, Mammoth Crest Trail, TJ and Barrett Lake Trails and many more.

Check out the Visit Mammoth website for more information on the lakes, campgrounds and activities available in the Mammoth Lakes Basin, and click here for the most up-to-date information on area transportation.
