What is the U.S. Grand Prix Event?
The U.S. Grand Prix is a top tier snowboarding and freeskiing event featuring both halfpipe and slopestyle competitions.
What's all the hype about?
Mammoth Mountain is the final stop for athlete's on their journey to Pyeongchang in February. The tricks and runs showcased by athletes will be top notch, with some of the best riding ever seen happening on our turf. The skiers and riders representing Team USA will be named at Mammoth during a celebratory evening event.
How good is the view to watch?
Watch the action from the Main Lodge sundeck, grab a spot at the base of the pipe or along the fence line in Main Park for up-close and personal viewing. Get as close to the action as possible – there will be snow-stairs cut into the halfpipe wall to allow for easy access. The center of Main Park, along the jumps allows the best view to watch the slopestyle unfold.
When and where is everything happening?
The event will take place at Main Lodge with contests in Main Park below the chair line of Unbound Express (Chair 6). The vendor village will be at the base of the competition venue, right off the Main Lodge sundeck, between Broadway Express (chair 1) and Unbound Express (Chair 6). Is there an event afterparty?
Yes. Party details will be announced at a later date.
Where should I stay?

What bus should I take?
The Red Line from The Village will get you to Main Lodge. Stop #18 is next to The Village parking lot, across from Sushi Rei.
Where can I park?
Free parking is available along Minaret Road between Stump Alley Express and Main Lodge, with shuttle access to and from vehicles. Or pay $25 for preferred parking and be steps away from the lodge and contest venue.
Will any trails be closed during the event?
Yes, a portion of Main Park, plus the 22' halfpipe will be closed to public skiing and riding access for the U.S. Grand Prix. Forest Trail Park, South Park, Wonderland and all Playgrounds will remain open, offering a wide range of terrain features daily.
