A unique summer experience at the summit of Mammoth Mountain.  Ride the Panorama Gondola to the top of the Sierra at dusk to watch the sun set over the Minarets. The top of the mountain will be buzzing with indoor/outdoor fun including a lighted glow walk to the Lakes Basin Overlook, music, and food and drink stations (for purchase).

Event Schedule*

5:30pm – Gondola Opens
5:30pm–8:30pm – Sunset Summit Party at Eleven53
                Face painting
                Food & beverage concessions open
                Lighted walk to Lakes Basin Lookout

7pm – Guided Nature Walk/Eastern Sierra History with Eleven53 Docent
7:23pm –  Sunset
8pm – Last ride up on the Panorama Gondola
8:30pm – Activities conclude & Panorama Gondola closes

--The top of of Mammoth Mountain provides ideal locations for sunset and moonrise photography.
--Pets (dogs) and outside alcohol are not permitted at this event
--Bring your own blanket and/or chair for seating and viewing
 
 

Transportation

FREE Shuttle Service between the Village and Main Lodge.  Every 30 minutes.  First shuttle up  at 6:30pm, last shuttle up at 8pm.  Last shuttle down at 10pm.

Challenge yourself – and gravity – on an uphill 5k race at sunset, on mountain bike or by foot from the base of Mammoth Mountain to the summit. The race course will follow the legendary Kamikaze bike trail beginning at Main Lodge and ending at the famous 11,053' Mammoth Mountain sign.
