The Mammoth Lakes Basin is a family favorite destination for hiking, biking, fishing and more. Just a few miles up Lake Mary Road lies endless exploration. (Area Transportation)
The first destination is Twin Lakes, sitting beautifully at 8,500 feet with Mammoth’s own shore-side Tamarack Lodge as an option for lodging, fine dining, camping and fishing. Continue up the road on one of the paved bike paths and you’ll find Lake Mary, Lake Mamie and Horseshoe Lake.
The Lakes Basin provides access to hiking trails suitable for all levels – you’ll find the Duck Pass Trail, McLeod Lake Trail, Mammoth Crest Trail, TJ and Barrett Lake Trails and many, many more.
