Airport Transportation


Visitors can travel to the Mammoth area by bus and/or shuttle as well as taxi once they've arrived in town. Both public transit and private charter services are available, all offering competitive rates and stress-free transport to Mammoth Lakes and surrounds.

If you booked lodging with one of our four lodging properties (Mammoth Mountain Inn, Juniper Springs Resort, The Village Lodge or Tamarack Lodge), there is a free shuttle to and from the airport. The shuttle will be at the airport when you arrive. Check with the front desk of your property for the shuttle schedule to the airport when you leave. 

MMSA Shuttles 

Village to Main Lodge (Bike Park Shuttle): 9:00am-4:30pm – every 30 minutes

  • Last ride down from Main Lodge to Village is at 4:10pm.


Chair 2 Shuttle to Main Lodge: 10:00am-4:00pm, Monday-Thursday


Reds Meadow Road and Shuttle - June 18, 2016-September 7, 2016

  •  $7 per adult (16+), $4 per child (3-15). Golden Eagle passes not valid for use on the bus
  • First bus leaves Adventure Center at 7:30 am – Last bus 7:00pm
  • Reds Meadow ticket window open from 8am -5pm. Tickets before and after this time can be purchased on the bus with cash or at the Adventure Center.
  • June 18th – Sept 7th Schedule: 7:15 (village gondola), 7:30, 8:15, 9:00, 9:30, 10:00 (every 20 minutes after
  • 10:00 am until 4:00 pm and then every 45 minutes from 4:45pm-7:00pm)
  • Last bus out of the valley 7:45 pm
  • Devil’s Postpile: Stop 6: 1/4 mile hike to the Postpile
  • Reds Meadow- Rainbow Falls: Stop 9 or 10 - 1.2 miles one way to Rainbow falls
  • Things to bring: Water, sunscreen, bug spray, rain jacket (usually 10 degrees warmer than Main Lodge), dogs require muzzle (sold at Adventure Center).
  • Red’s Meadow tickets save you $5.00 on a scenic gondola ride. 


ESTA Public Bus Service:

Town Trolley: Snowcreek to the Village, Summer Seasonal

  • Departs Snowcreek - 9:00 am-10:00 pm (every 20 minutes)
  • 10:00 pm-2:00 am (every 30 minutes)

Purple Line: Vons to the Village; Year Round

  • Departs Vons – 7:00 am – 6:00 pm (every 30 minutes).

Gray Line: Vons to Old Mammoth and Eagle Lodge; Year Round

  • Departs Vons – 7:00 am – 6:00 pm (every 30 minutes).

Lakes Basin Trolley (with bike trailer)

  • September 6-25: 1 bus every hour from 9am-6pm, leaving The Village on the hour with the last bus departing the Village at 5pm.

Employee Transportation to Main Lodge

6:30am and 7:00am departure from Snowcreek to The Village to Main Lodge following the Red Line route.

Yosemite Transportation (Summer Only)

Expected to run from June through September.
Yosemite Area Regional Transporation System (YARTS) offers bus service from Mammoth Lakes to Yosemite National Park. Bus fares are roundtrip and includes park entrance fee. YARTS also connects with Amtrak in Merced and onwards to San Francisco.
