Spring Events to Get Excited About

Apr 12, 2018

We stay shredding much longer than other resorts around the country so springtime in Mammoth is always jam packed with snow, events and most importantly fun for everyone. With all that snow we get the opportunity to put on a slew of rad events. Check out Oakley Week where professional skiers and boarders will be here for an entire week hanging, riding and enjoying the same hill we all do. Plus, there will be tons of giveaways, treasure hunts and it will all conclude with a jam-style Mini Pipe Challenge that is all about fun and the chance to ride with your favorite Oakley athletes. If you can make it to the Prizm Run from the summit down to Tusks bar and you are wearing a pair of Oakleys, you will get a free drink. The Pond Skim is a classic event at Canyon Lodge that celebrates the spring season with a splash. Party it up and enjoy people dressed in silly costumes as they try to make it across the 110-ft pond.

If you are looking to get competitive and challenge your personal fitness there is a few events that may interest you, such as the Ezakimak Challenge and Cinco de SkiMo. The Ezakimak is an uphill race from the base of the mountain to the summit along the famed Kamikaze mountain bike trail that pushes your endurance to the test on either foot, cross-country skis, snowshoes or a fat bike. Cinco de SkiMo is Mammoth's first ever ski mountaineering event followed by a margarita party.

With some of the most snow in the country, we will be shredding daily until Memorial day or longer, so come enjoy the amazing spring conditions and California sunshine.
