The Elite Team is reserved for the highest caliber athletes who have the skill, attitude, maturity and work ethic of an elite athlete. This team is based 100% around competition and focuses on progressing skiing skills, and learning difficult and complex tricks while developing routines for competition.
Training
This group uses video equipment extensively and trains in halfpipe and slopestyle. Dryland training is an essential part of the program and consists of workouts at the team’s private gym, as well as trampoline sessions at Mammoth Trampoline Club. They also use airbags and other specialized training facilities to develop skills at an increased rate. Avalanche training courses are offered at an extra cost to those who want to venture into the backcountry. Summer conditioning and training camps are used to keep athletes on snow and competing with the best in the world.
Selection for Elite Team
Selections for this group will be at the discretion of the head coach and program and will be based on ability, attitude, commitment and motivation towards competition and training.
Schedule
The Elite Team begins training in November (conditions permitting). They train on snow Sunday–Thursday until the end of April.
