Easily Get to the Mountain & Around Town

After you arrive in Mammoth, leave your car parked and get up to the mountain easily thanks to the Eastern Sierra Transit Authority (ESTA). This convenient bus service offers complimentary transportation all around the town of Mammoth Lakes, including each of our mountain base lodges.

To Main Lodge & Adventure Center

Red Line  |  Operates Every 30 Minutes from 7:20–8:50AM

Currently running on a modified schedule/route.

Offers service between The Village and Main Lodge only, leaving The Village from the Canyon Blvd. stop at 7:20AM, 7:50AM, 8:20AM and 8:50AM. Departs Main Lodge at 7:35AM, 8:05AM and 8:35AM.

The Town Trolley route offers service along Old Mammoth Rd. and Main St. from 7AM–10PM.

Bike Park Shuttle  |  Operates Every 15 Minutes from 9AM–5:30PM 

Offers free transportation service between The Village and Main Lodge, leaving The Village from stop #90 (on Canyon Blvd.) on the quarter from 9AM–5:30PM, and departing Main Lodge at :10, :25, :40 and :55 after the hour with the last departure at :5:10PM. A valid bike park ticket is required to transport a bicycle.

To Devils Postpile & Reds Meadow (Fee Required)

Reds Meadow Shuttle  |  Summer Only – Not Yet in Operation

Typically runs 7:30AM–7:45PM on a various schedule throughout the day when Minaret Vista Road is open for the summer.

Offers service between the Adventure Center at Main Lodge and the Reds Meadow Valley offering access to Devils Postpile National Monument, Rainbow Falls and other sights along the Middle Fork of the San Joaquin River. A ticket is required to ride the shuttle, which can be purchased at the Adventure Center, or by paying the driver directly.

To Mammoth Lakes Basin & Tamarack Lodge

Lakes Basin Trolley  |  Summer Only – Not Yet in Operation

Typically runs 9AM–6PM when Lake Mary Road opens for the summer.

Offers service from The Village along Lake Mary Road to many trailheads, campgrounds and marinas in the Lakes Basin. Departs stop #90 in The Village (on Canyon Blvd.) at :00 and :30 starting at 9AM, with the last departure at 5PM. Departs Horseshoe Lake at :30 and :00 with the last departure at 5:30PM.

Orange Line  |  Winter Only

Typically runs 8AM–5:15PM mid-December through mid-April when the Tamarack Cross-Country Ski Center is open.

Offers service between The Village at Mammoth and Tamarack Lodge and Cross Country Ski Center. Departs The Village starting at 8AM, with the last departure from Tamarack Lodge at 5:15PM. Departs Tamarack Lodge every 30 minutes at :15 and :45 past the hour.

To Canyon Lodge

Town Trolley  |  Operates Every 20 Minutes from 7AM–10PM

Offers service all around town, including Canyon Lodge. Departs Canyon Lodge every 20 minutes at :03, :23 and :43, with the first departure at 7:23AM and the last at 9:43PM.

Night Trolley  |  Operates Every 30 Minutes from 10PM–12AM

Offers service all around town, including Canyon Lodge. Departs Canyon Lodge every 30 minutes at :23 and :53 past the hour, with the first departure at 10:23PM and the last at 11:53PM.

To Juniper Springs Resort / Eagle Lodge

Town Trolley  |  Operates Every 20 Minutes from 7AM–10PM

Offers service all around town, including Eagle Lodge/Juniper Springs Resorts. Departs Juniper Springs Resort every 20 minutes at :05, :25 and :45 past the hour, with the first departure at 7:05AM and the last at 9:45PM.

Night Trolley  |  Operates Every 30 Minutes from 10PM–12AM

Offers service all around town, including Eagle Lodge/Juniper Springs Resorts. Departs Juniper Springs Resort every 30 minutes at :35 and :55 past the hour, with the first departure at 10:35PM and the last at 11:35PM.

Around Town

Purple Line  |  Night Trolley  |  Old Mammoth Road  |  Dial-a-Ride

ESTA also makes it easy for you to get around town during the day and into the early morning hours with the Night Trolley offering service until 2AM. 


Purple Line  | Operates Every 30 minutes from 7AM–6PM 

Offers service between downtown and The Village at Mammoth, with stops also at the RV park,  Welcome Center and Cerro Coso Community College. Departs Vons supermarket starting at 7AM, with the last departure at 5:30PM.

Night Trolley  |  Operates Every 30 minutes from 10PM–2AM 

Offers service between the Snowcreek Athletic Club and The Village at Mammoth, as well as service with limited stops at Canyon Lodge and Juniper Springs Resort until 12AM. Departs the Snowcreek Athletic Club starting at 10PM, with the last departure from The Village at 1:40AM.

Old Mammoth Road Area  |  Limited Service

This new service provides 3 morning and afternoon runs along the Old Mammoth Road area with the opportunity to connect to the Purple, Red, and Green Lines. In addition, 2 of the morning runs continue on to The Village.

Dial-a-Ride  |  Operates Weekdays 8AM–5PM (Limited Service 11:45AM–3PM)

This door-to-door route operates year-round for the general public. ADA Complementary Paratransit service is a available during periods when fixed route is operating, outside of the times Dial-a-Ride times. Depending on the zone, the ride can cost $2.40–$4.20.
