The US Grand Prix invades Mammoth with high energy contests, a jam-packed vendor village and a rockin’ concert with headliners The Faint & Danny Brown!

 

SPRINT US GRAND PRIX | January 16-19

Get front row seats to this nationally televised contest and watch the top male and female snowboarders go big in the halfpipe and slopestyle events on their road to Sochi 2014. America's best snowboarders, including Mammoth Team Athletes Greg Bretz, Kelly Clark and Brandon Davis will compete on Mammoth's famed Unbound terrain park and superpipe to determine who among them will represent the United States at the Winter Olympics. As the final stop of the Grand Prix series, Mammoth will name the Men's and Women's Olympic Snowboard Team for halfpipe and first-ever slopestyle team.  The contests will be broadcast on NBC.

SPONSOR VILLAGE | January 17-19

Stroll the sponsor village just off the Main Lodge Sundeck, pick up cool swag, win prizes, share your #MammothStories on Instagram or Facebook and maybe meet an athlete or two! The Sponsor Village at Main Lodge will include Nature Valley Granola Bars, product and sampling with Paul Mitchell, High Sierra, GoPro, Mammoth Mountain Community Foundation, Coca-Cola, Mophie, Good Year, Blue Diamond Almonds, Zeal Optics, Delta Airlines and Burton, including a fun learn-to-ride Burton Riglet Park!

THE FAINT & DANNY BROWN | January 18

Celebrate the biggest snowboard event of the year with indie rock band, The Faint at Canyon Lodge and hip-hop phenom, Danny Brown at Underground late-night.

When: Doors at 9pm, The Faint plays at 10:30 at Canyon Lodge.  Danny Brown plays at 12:30 at Underground in The Village

US OLYMPIC SNOWBOARD TEAM NAMING | January 19

The energy will be running high at the Sprint US Grand Prix as contestants are vying for a spot to represent America in the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia. The US Olympic Snowboarding Team will officially be announced in the sponsor village at Main Lodge following the halfpipe finals on Sunday, January 19.  Show your support for our athletes! Help us send them off to Sochi in true Mammoth fashion – with a lively celebration. Show up on Sunday afternoon to the vendor village in your red/white/blue garb, grab an American flag from the Mammoth tent and cheer on your favorite competitor! 

Olympic Team Naming is on Sunday at 2pm on stage in the sponsor village.

What is the US Grand Prix Snowboarding Event?

The US Grand Prix is a top tier snowboarding event featuring both halfpipe and slopestyle competitions.  The country's best of the best have pre-qualified at previous US Grand Prix stops this season and will pull it all on the line at Mammoth for a spot on the US Olympic Team.

 

How good is the view to watch?
Watch the action from the Sundeck at Main Lodge or grab a spot at the base of the halfpipe or along the fence line in Main Park for up-close and personal viewing. Get as close as possible to the action - there will be snow-stairs cut into the halfpipe wall to allow for easy access.  Wave to the cameras, we're broadcasting live on NBC Sports! 

When and where is everything happening?
The event will take place at Main Lodge with contest in Main Park below the chairline of Thunderbound Express (chair 6).  The vendor village will be at the base of the competition venue, right of the Main Lodge sundeck between Broadway Express (chair 1) and Thunderbound Express (chair 6).  The schedule of events is posted above and complete event info will be located throughout the venue.  Following competition on Saturday The Faint will play live indoors at Canyon Lodge!

Where should I stay?

What bus should I take?
The Red Line from The Village will get you to Main Lodge.

Where can I park?
Parking is available in Main Lodge area, with shuttle access to and from vehicles, or $20 for preferred parking.
