A Holiday Ski Experience Like No Other

Join two-time Olympian, World Cup champion and Mammoth Team Athlete, Stacey Cook for a holiday ski (or ride) experience like no other.

About A Very Merry Chixmas

Chix on Stix, began in 2012 with Stacey's dream to team up with Mammoth Mountain to host a ladies-only retreat focusing on  boosting confidence, pushing participants personal limits and providing unexpected experience while meeting new friends. We couldn’t pass up the opportunity make her ideas a reality and Chix was born.  After three successful spring sessions, Stacey's vision continued to grow.  In December 2014 Stacey and 30 women participated in the first one-day holiday special, aptly named "A Very Merry Chixmas".

Chixmas | December 28, 2016

About Stacey Cook

A California girl, Stacey Cook moved to Mammoth Mountain just as the United States was lighting the 2002 Olympic Torch. It took her all of two years to win the NorAm overall and downhill titles and two more to land on her first Olympic Team. Cook went on a downhill tear during the 2012 winter with five World Cup top 10 finishes, including a ninth at the 2014 Olympic track in Sochi, Russia. The end result was a 10th place ranking in the season-long standings. It was the best season of her career and sparked a fire in "Cookie" that will be a full-on blaze during the 2013 World Championship season when Stacey placed 2nd in the Lake Louise World Cup Downhill on November 30, 2012.  Stacey was named to the US Olympic Team for a second time in 2014 competing in Sochi, Russia.  Stacey started her 2015 season out on the right foot with another 2nd place finish in the Lake Louise World Cup on December 6, 2014.

Chix on Stix, began in 2012 when Stacey approached her home mountain, Mammoth, with an idea for a women’s camp. We couldn’t pass up the opportunity make her ideas a reality and Chix was born.  After three successful spring sessions, Stacey's vision continued to grow.  In December 2014 Stacey and 30 women participated in a one-day holiday special, aptly named "A Very Merry Chixmas".

Stacey on Chix on Stix:

“Much of my athletic childhood was spent as a multi-sport athlete. Really, more like a sport per season type of girl, but there were always overlaps that had me and my parents constantly on the go. While skiing was always my favorite, I didn't choose it as my ultimate sport until I was well into my teenage years. If I look back on my skiing career up until this point, I know that I almost never have been the most athletic girl on the slopes, but the diverse skills I have acquired both in the field of play and off give me certain advantages when it comes to adapting to adverse situations. I have become a better person and athlete with every challenge I have taken on. I've learned to place extra value in trying new things and look to constantly expand my comfort zone.

Chix on Stix came to be when I was frustrated with constantly being stereotyped as a gate basher. There is more to me than being stuck between the fences, and I know I have more to offer others than instruction on how to ski faster. I've also become more and more appreciative of how just about everyone I meet along my journey has something to offer me, something I can learn from. I thought it would be great to create the ultimate environment where competitiveness didn't exist, but the desire to be a better person was strong. Meet Chix on Stix, where women of all ages can strive to be their own best, be challenged without being judged, and be strong and powerful while also fun and carefree. Get ready for the weekend of your life!”
