When is the deposit due and how much is it?
The initial deposit is $2000. This is due at the time of contract signing.
How can I schedule an appointment to see the venues in person?
A venue tour is complimentary. Please contact the catering department to schedule your tour.
How do I reserve a wedding venue and date?
Your Catering Sales Manager will help you to determine if your preferred venue is available on the date that you are interested in. Once you have this narrowed down, a hold will be placed on the date and venue of choice and your Catering Sales Manager will draft and send you a contract. Once reviewed, you will sign your contract and send it back with your first deposit. Once you received your countersigned contract, your wedding date and venue are official.
When do I need to choose a menu?
The first step is selecting your wedding date and venue. Your menu selection can take place after that, and does not have to be finalized until 30 days prior to your wedding date.
When do you need our tentative and final count of guests?
Your tentative guest count is due upon contract signing. But, of course, numbers are expected to fluctuate, so the final count is due 30 days before your wedding.
How do I set up group lodging rates?
A group rate will be set for your guests at the Village Lodge, Juniper Springs Resort or Mammoth Mountain Inn. Your guests can make their own reservation by calling 800.MAMMOTH. A "how to" will be provided along with your signed contract. These rooms are not guaranteed, and are booked out of general availability. There is a minimum of 10 room nights that will need to be reserved and they are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Can you give us suggestions for florists, bakeries, DJs and ministers for the area?
Of course! We have a list of suggested vendors that will be sent to you once we receive your signed contract and deposit.
What is the 20% service charge and how does it differ from a tip?
The 20% service charge pays for the banquet staff assigned to service your wedding. These charges are industry standard and these are fees that are placed on all catered functions. This fee does not include additional gratuity for any of your vendors or wedding coordinator which are at your discretion and are not required.
Can we make special menu requests and what is the process?
Specialty menus can be made by contacting your catering representative. These include vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options.
Can we do a tasting?
Yes. We have tasting gala events twice a year where you can taste different menu options, meet Mammoth Mountain preferred vendors, see gorgeous set up and décor options and get fresh ideas for your wedding. If you can’t make one of these events, please consult your catering representative.
What are the travel options for my guests to get to Mammoth?
There are several options to get to Mammoth depending on the season and where you are located. We are an easy drive from Southern California and Reno/Tahoe all year long, and have flight service year-round depending on the destination. Our Vacation Specialists can assist you in booking airfare when you call 800.MAMMOTH. While in town, there is transportation from Eastern Sierra Transit Authority. Charter buses are also available.
