Arrival Date and Nights required
Open May 23-Sept. 8 for the 2014 season. Camp High Sierra has been providing Family Camping since 1921. This historic camp ground is nestled in rustic mountains surrounded by scenic areas providing a convenient base camp for photographs, hiking, swimming, fishing, backpacking, horseback riding and bicycling. We want you to enjoy your stay in the Eastern Sierra and ask that all campers please read and comply with the following list of camp guidelines.
Enter and exit the Camp from Majestic Pines Road. Avoid using the Fire Access Road to enter or exit camp.
Check-in time is 1:00 pm and Check-out time is 11:00 am. Late check-out is permitted only if staff approves it on an individual basis. Check out after 2:00 pm may be subject to a $10.00 late fee.
Camp Quiet Time hours are from 10:00 pm - 6:00 am.
Guests provide their own bedding in the Cabins. No cooking appliances are allowed in the cabins.
Camp High Sierra has a variety of wild animals in and around camp, please keep your camp site clean and DO NOT FEED THE BEARS.
Bear boxes are located at non-electrical campsites only. Size of bear boxes are 33” W x 36” H x 28”D.
Use the bear box at your campsite. Please remember, you are entering an area frequented by bears. Store all food, cosmetics, and coolers in a bear box or a closed vehicle and out of site.
Please do not wash dishes at the public restrooms. We suggest that you fill up a large bowl or basin to take back to your camp to wash dishes, etc.
Due to fire hazards, keep campfires small and low, preferably below 18 inches. Campfires may be restricted by staff or fire department due to the level of fire hazard.
Campsites with electrical hook ups only allow 15amps of electricity per campsite. You are encouraged to bring your own extension cords. These site also have water, and you are encouraged to bring your own hoses as well.
One vehicle per campsite; extra vehicles are $5.00 per day. Fewer vehicles at campsites make it easier to maneuver throughout camp. Additional parking can be found by the lodge, free of charge.
6 people per campsite extra people are $3.00 per day per person
Maximum trailer/RV length is 32 feet.
Generator use is allowed in camp, but not during Quiet Time (after 10:00pm or before 6:00am).

Payment in full is required at the time of booking, including 14% Town Occupancy Tax and TBID.
Cancellations made 14 days or more from day of arrival will receive a refund of payment, less a $50.00 Administrative Fee (or full deposit, whichever is greater). Cancellations made less than two weeks before arrival will receive no refund. All requests for cancellation must be made by calling 800-MAMMOTH between 8am and 6pm.
From Los Angeles, travel north on I-5 (Golden State Fwy.) to Hwy. 14 (Palmdale/Lancaster exit). Continue north on Hwy. 14 all the way through the town of Mojave. Bear to the right out of Mojave, and continue on 14 until it connects with Hwy 395, about 50 miles north of Mojave. Continue on 395 through Bishop (toward Reno), and exit at the Mammoth Lakes turnoff (Hwy. 203), and continue through Mammoth.
Proceed through town past the third signal (Canyon Drive). Continue on Lake Mary Road, to Kelly Road, turn Left. Turn Right on Majestic Pines Drive and turn Right on the Camp’s dirt road, located between the first two houses past the intersection. The Camp High Sierra sign is set back off the road.
