Take a scenic ride up the Panorama Gondola and enjoy a 360 degree vista of high altitude Sierra Nevada peaks with a commanding view of the San Juaquin River Valley below. Eleven53 Interpretive Center - With a full time docent, interactive exhibits for all ages, café, and panoramic views of the Eastern Sierra, Eleven53 is the central hub of the Explore Mammoth experience.
Admission is free with a scenic gondola ride ticket, ski area lift ticket or any Mammoth season pass. Exhibits change periodically. Topics may include:
- Volcanic history
- Geology & Geography
- Weather Patterns
- Cultural heritage
- Natural History
- Views of the Minarets, Mono Lake, Yosemite peaks, and hundreds of miles of high altitude Sierra mountains.
- Take a quick break from the slopes and grab a gourmet sandwich, bowl of chili, fresh salad, soup or a light snack at the summit of Mammoth Mountain. Eleven53 is also the perfect place for non-skiers to grab a bite and experience the grandeur and beauty of California's highest resort peak.
