Suggested Activities for Relaxing:
Day 1 - Rise and shine for a beautiful day in the
Eastern Sierra. Take a Scenic
Gondola Ride to the Top of the Sierra Interpretive Center & Cafe,
where you can see Mammoth and beyond in every direction. At the top
grab lunch and take a complimentary Naturalist Tour (Thursdays,
Fridays and Saturdays at 11am and 1pm). Enjoy an evening on the lake
at Tamarack Lodge & Resort. Rent a boat
or simply watch as the last fishermen of the day try for one more
catch as the sun goes down. The
Lakefront Restaurant (760.934.3534) serves California-French
fare from 5pm nightly.
Day 2 - Combine a morning on the tennis courts with a day of shopping at the Village at Mammoth. Then enjoy happy hour at one of the Village's restaurants or wine bars.
Day 3 - Explore the area with a morning drive. Mono Lake or the town of June Lake to the north, or historic Convict Lake or Crowley Lake to the south, are all good options for a breezy stroll with a beautiful view. If you like natural wonders take the shuttle to Devils Postpile where the natural wonder of basaltic cylinders is a unique sight to see. Afternoon activities could include a trip to one of Mammoth's many day spas or 5 at 5 at Sierra Star Golf Course (5 holes at 5pm; call 760.924.GOLF). You may catch a glimpse of the golf course's friendly resident bears!
