Mammoth Mountain offers a variety of fun, seasonal jobs with the benefit of a season pass to ski all winter!  

Most winter employment runs about 150 days, from early November until the end of April, and even longer on heavy snow years!

Winter Seasonal

Food & Beverage

Responsible for maintaining recipes to meet Levy standards, ensuring all safety and sanitation standards, presenting quality food and continuing to gain culinary expertise. More

Overall, you will create "The Levy Difference" with cuisine that exceeds the guests’ expectations while providing strong leadership and delivering cost goals.

Hotel Operations

Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to Guests. Dispatches Lodge Staff such as Housekeepers and Maintenance Service employees in response to Guest requests. More

Makes, changes and cancels reservations. Serves as Lodge telephone operator.

Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services as well as other Mammoth California services. Computes bill, collects payment, and checks guests out of the hotel. Deposits guests' valuables in hotel safe or safe deposit box. We will train the successful candidate in various aspects of Night Audit functions.

Schedules vary, opportunity for full-time work, emphasis on week-ends.

Requirements

High school graduate with general business office training or equivalent experience.

Basic computer skills required. Minimum of one year experience in public or guest relations service.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests.

Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form.

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Outside Operations

Holiday Instructors work a minimum of 15 days during our peak Holiday periods. More

• Applicants with no previous ski teaching experience will be working primarily with beginner student’s ages 4 to 6 years old.

• Applicants with previous ski teaching experience may teach a variety of levels and ages based on qualifications.

NOTE: we currently have a few openings left at either Mammoth or at June Mountain!

Requirements

• Compensation DOE, and also includes season pass options.

• Training provided by MMSS top ski & snowboard pros.

Resort Services

Responsible for protecting Company assets and ensuring a safe environment for our employees and guests. More

Utilizes resources available to initiate and follow through on monthly reporting, store operational compliance, and internal investigations as needed.

Works closely with store management to increase LP awareness, maintain operational excellence, and minimize the overall losses in all retail locations.

Assists Retail Administration by executing the merchandising strategy developed for each retail location. Assists with initial store set up. Works with store Managers and Buyers in season to transfer merchandise within stores to maximize sell through.

Visits stores on a regular basis to ensure product is out and displayed properly, including filling in from stockroom. Works with DC to assist with transfers to stores. Provides administrative support to Director of Retail Administration.

NOTE: this is a SEASONAL position.

Requirements

Education/Experience:

Years of Related Professional Experience: 1-2 Years Retail Loss Prevention, Sales Audit, or Inventory Control Experience Required

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Creates and delivers an extraordinary equipment rental experience for our Guests in a fast-paced and FUN environment. More

If you are a social person, and enjoy little "perks" like SKI or RIDE breaks, this might be for you!

Assists guests with all aspects of rental process and ski check operation.

Rental functions will include: providing information, selling all rental, sport school and ticket products, taking deposits, up-selling all items, issuing rental equipment, fitting boots and bindings. Performing simple maintenance on rental equipment.

Set up/take down and manning of the outside ski check operation. Maintain and improve guest experience through clean up of all ski area properties.

Requirements

Bright, energetic, clean-cut, outgoing, well spoken, enthusiastic, and customer oriented.

The ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests is essential.

Some basic mechanical and cash handling experience are desirable.

An ability to work in a team oriented environment with an upbeat, enthusiastic personality.

High school graduate or equivalent work experience.

Previous guest service experience is desirable.
