Winter Seasonal

Food & Beverage

Operates and services a specially-equipped SnowCat dedicated to serving guests food and beverage items. More

This is a VERY unique opportunity for an individual with diverse skill sets, including the ability to operate a sophisticated piece of machinery, on the slopes, during full daytime business hours.

Also, provides superior guest service by serving food and beverage items and conducting payment transactions. A high level of enthusiasm and advanced verbal communication skills a must.

Operates with a high degree of autonomy and must be able to make priority decisions and show good judgement with minimal supervision.

Oversees routine maintenance of the SnowCat machinery.

Requirements

Snowcat driving experience preferred.

Hotel Operations

Meets and greets guest as they arrive at the resort. Opens car doors and welcomes guests to the hotel. More

Offers the guests and assists with valet services and assists with the guests with luggage. Removes luggage from cars and place on bell carts. Responsible for parking cars utilizing the valet service.

Provides information about rooms, hotel, ski area and local area. Assists valet parkers. Provide guests with ski valet services. Assist the front desk with service delievery of newspapers, packages, and towels. Offers aditional and concierge services. Sells hotel by offering property shows and answering general enquiries.

Completes daily checklist to maintain the overall appearance of the hotel and guest experience; which includes but is not exclusive to snow shoveling, trash removal and light cleaning. Performs related services as requestd by Front Desk and Management. Cross training in alternative departments and properties included.

High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years guest service, public relations or sales experience. Hotel or Resort experience preferred. Professional demeanor, attitude and appearance. Strong work ethic. Ability to effectively communicate to guests, employees & management.

Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests. Dispatches Lodge Staff such as Housekeepers and Maintenance Service employees in response to guests' requests. More

Makes, changes and cancels reservations. Serves as Lodge telephone operator.

Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services as well as other Mammoth California services. Computes bill, collects payment, and checks guests out of the hotel. Deposits guests' valuables in hotel safe or safe deposit box. We will train the successful candidate in various aspects of Night Audit functions.

Schedules vary, opportunity for full-time work, emphasis on week-ends.

Greets, registers guests, and sells rooms available in inventory. Monitors Hotel activity, serving as Manager-on-Duty overnight. More

Reconciles daily cash receipts and summary sheets of all hotel departments. Balances income revenue accounts for profit centers for hotel. Responsible for coordination of any emergency situations. Pay is $10.62 per hour, plus an extra $2 per hour for the audit shifts, which run through the night.  Typical schedule is 11pm to 7am.

This offer is for part-time employment, a typical workweek perhaps including several night shifts with the possibility of additional day shifts for the right candidate.

Requirements

High school graduate with general business office training or equivalent experience. Basic computer skills required. Minimum of one year experience in public or guest relations service. Minimum three months experience as a bookkeeper and/or auditor.

This is a Safety Sensitive position subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) drug regulations. Ideal candidate will have prior experience with MMSA bus driving. Must have superior guest service skills.

Outside Operations

Teaches Ski & Snowboarding skills. More

Apprentice Instructors are new to the business, often with some teaching experience, up to Level 1 PSIA or AASI certified.

Apprentice Instructors assist in the support functions of the school and mountain operations (rentals, ticket sales, meeting area set-up, lift operations and guest greeting and direction).

They teach skiing to the general public with an emphasis on children in our lesson age group of 3-4 yrs. and 5-12 yrs. The Apprentice Instructor performs a variety of all of the above roles often on the same day. Must be flexible and able to work in variable weather conditions.

 

Requirements

A passion for working with small Children in a winter environment is a prerequisite for this position. Guest service experience required.

Basic skiing skills are required. Previous experience as a day care worker or as a camp counselor is an advantage. Empathy for and an ability to teach children new skills in an unfamiliar environment is more important than your personal skiing ability. On the job training is provided.

Requirements

Oversees and operates radio-frequency electronic scanning equipment for lift tickets and lift passes. Guest service experience required. This is an outside job working in a variety of elements.

Answers telephones, relays messages via radio, monitors and maintains lift information log books and communication forms.

Monitors and maintains scanning information, and provides such information to Lift Operations Managers and supervisory staff. Assists in coordination of communication (dispatching) during emergencies. Provides clerical assistance to the Mountain Operations management staff as requested.

Maintains employee records, edits performance information, audits Kronos time keeping reports, and documents equipment maintenance. Assists in distribution of scanning information, data entry, equipment inventory, and maintenance documentation. Posts daily scanning information company-wide.

NOTE: This is a high-intensity job involving simultaneous management of multiple radio channels, telephone lines, and face-to-face interaction in a safety-sensitive department. The ability to make logical decisions based upon strict protocol and standard procedures is paramount.  Compensation for this position will be $12.37 per hour, with an anticipated start date of mid-November.

A Ski & Snowboard School Supervisor has the ability and experience to manage instructors on a daily and season long basis. Additionally these people can collaborate between different departments to quickly and seamlessly resolve guest and employee issues.

The ability to motivate and inspire employees to meet or exceed the standards and expectations of MMSA cannot be overstated.

Minimum qualifications of current Level 3 PSIA/AASI or International equivalent and five (400 hour) seasons as a full time instructor. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Computer literacy (MS office, SIRIUS ware), strong written and verbal skills are essential.

Wears the June Mountain mascot "Bucky" uniform and tours lodges and slopes. More

One of the best jobs on the mountain is our June Mountain skiing mascot, Bucky the Deer!

His primary objective is to create a fun atmosphere for all guests and employees through his exemplary skiing and goofy antics.

All Bucky applicants must be excellent skiers and in great physical condition. In addition, advanced snowboarding skills are a plus. Applicants are recommended to have previous experience working with children as well as experience in performing arts.

Advanced level of Alpine Skiing (sorry no Telemark Skiing or Snowboarding), training in slope-specific first aid, hill safety, Avalanche control and Mammoth Mt. Operations.

Requirements

Patrol candidates must have current American Red Cross Emergency Response, EMT-1 or Outdoor Emergency Care (NSP) and current certification for CPR (Professional), including:

 (1) Rescuer adult, infant & child;  
 (2) Rescuer CPR.

You must be at least twenty-one years of age and have advanced alpine skiing ability.  Ski Patrollers are hired from this group.  Employment will be contingent on skiing ability.

We have a PB100 and an Edge snow cat to groom our trails and set Cross Country ski tracks.  You will need to be flexible to work morning shifts on snow days or evening shifts on non-snow days.

Ski and snowboard while advancing your career in Child Development! Mammoth Childcare is now seeking energetic, responsible and nurturing teachers for its two locations. We offer flexible schedules and the best paying entry-level job in the company for qualified individuals. Starting wage is $14.59-$15.09, depending on qualifications.

Staff working at Mammoth Childcare are responsible for providing plenty of stimulating activities such as art, dramatic play, sensory activities, sledding, gondola rides and even a combo program where children participate in a morning ski lesson before settling in to the childcare facility for the afternoon.   If babies are your thing, we have age appropriate, high quality infant nurseries at both locations.
