Hotel Operations

Supervises the Front Office Representatives during assigned shift. More

Assists the Manager in establishing and implementing training programs. Represents the management in solving guest problems regarding policies and procedures. Performs the duties of the Manager during periods when the Manager is not available.

NOTE: Schedules vary, including day and evening shifts.

Requirements

High school graduate with two or more years experience in operation of a hotel front desk, including night audit.

Outside Operations

Oversees the safe and efficient operations of all aerial and surface lifts (including the gondolas), under the direct supervision of a qualified technician. More

Performs general maintenance and repairs, performs daily and monthly inspections, and troubleshoots simple system faults, both on the low voltage and mechanical sides.

We are looking for someone who is interested in making this a long-term commitment and wants to learn, advancing his or her knowledge and mechanical skills.

Requirements

High school graduate with 2 years minimum electrical trade school or equivalent experience.

Must have all required tools (minimum tool list will be presented at interview), minimum of 6 months experience in a mechanical or electrical field, basic computer skills in Word and Excel.

Must have a valid California driver’s license. Must be able to work long hours in extreme weather conditions at elevated heights. Must be able to work on a flexible schedule.

Well-rounded industry professional with a proven track record as a manager or supervisor in a large school. More

Prepares and plans the daily operation of the School. Schedules supervisors, instructors and office staff necessary to meet monthly, weekly and daily wage and revenue targets. Has the ability to work cooperatively and productively with other managers and department heads.

Trains, motivates and evaluates the performance of the supervisors. Directs on-hill School activities and oversees facility specific operations such as lunch programs and children’s school rentals. Manages department expenses to meet budgetary guidelines. Effectively coaches, corrects, recognizes and rewards the performance of employees.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent experience with some college level courses. Minimum 10 year’s experience in a major ski school operation with 3 years supervisory experience.

Must have an in-depth knowledge of the ski and snowboard school business model. PSIA/AASI examiner or trainer and preferably hold ski and snowboard qualifications through PSIA/AASI or an ISIA recognized snow sports nation.

Must be computer literate including MS office and have 3 years cash handling experience. Outstanding guest service resolution skills are essential.

Resort Services

Supports and maintains the Mammoth corporate web sites and web applications. More

Under the direction of the VP of IT, the .Net Developer is part of a development team whose primary responsibilities is to support and maintain Mammoth's corporate websites and web applications interfacing with backend enterprise applications systems.

This individual will provide sustaining support for existing applications, develop future web based solutions, and work with internal business partners to troubleshoot and develop custom programs to automate manual business processes.

Specific duties include:

  • Participates in projects that support the implementation of web-based applications in collaboration with internal business partners.
  • Develops web based solutions in C#, ASP.NET, Java, JavaScript, HTML5, Visual Studio On-line, and SQL Server.
  • Maintains existing web applications.
  • Develops web sites on an existing Content Management System (Sitefinity).
  • Manages smaller projects by meeting with users, setting expectations, and communicating project status; works with the users to define scope of work and resource requirements; analyze requests for feasibility and propose alternatives for meeting user’s needs.
  • Works with the IS technical team to evaluate, recommend, and implement hardware and software solutions for web content development and delivery.
  • Performs other related duties or special projects as directed.

Oversees the efficient operation of the Administration Office. More

Provides professional and friendly access to executive management staff and work products associated with the administration office.

Adheres to the standards of the Administration Office for organization, supply inventories, equipment maintenance, meeting coordination, and correspondence.  Assists with projects of the department, including charitable contributions, and provides daily updates to the department director.

Responsibilities include multi-store management, new business development, overseeing the purchasing, merchandising, and inventory distribution and control.

Minimum 10 years retail management experience, preferably in outdoor retail, with multi store operations, and experience in buying, distribution, visual presentation and retail finance.

Strong retail product knowledge for a variety of categories including but not limited to hard goods, outerwear, casual wear, logo wear, footwear, goggles, gloves, helmets, and summer outdoor active.   Additional experience required in resort retail with sharp visit fluctuations between high and low season demand periods.

Builds and maintains partner relationships with various domestic accounts, including Travel Agencies, Wholesalers, Tour Operators, OTAs, Consortia and Retail partners. More

The Sales Manager is tasked with increasing third party FIT sales of lift tickets, ski school programs, ski rentals, room nights for the Mammoth Lodging Collection, and other ancillary products through these distribution channels.

This position acts as the primary point of contact for more than 50 US-based accounts.

Additionally, the Travel Industry Sales Manager leverages partner relationships through co-op marketing programs, creates and maintains a positive and productive relationship with all contracted partners, trains and educates sales agents, and qualifies new companies who wish to represent and sell Mammoth Mountain products in the future.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage Domestic Accounts, acting as the primary contact
  • Review and evaluate co-op marketing campaigns with selected partners. Implement, measure and report on campaigns.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Management and appropriate MMSA departments to develop lodging and activity deals, offers and packages
  • Communicate with all partners on a regular basis. Contract products on an annual or seasonal basis.
  • Address and resolve rate parity situations
  • Conduct sales agent trainings and educate travel industry partners on all products
  • Attend travel industry trade shows and sales missions
  • Manage partners extranet as needed: Provide property and activity product descriptions. Update copy and image content on partners’ websites, digital and print collateral. Upload inventory and special offers.
  • Provide support to partners on reservations or billing questions
  • Competitive Analysis:  Shop competitor sites for packages and promotions
