Hotel Operations

Maintains physical condition of properties assigned. More

Performs repairs in carpentry, plumbing, heating, electrical, and flooring. Performs general building and grounds maintenance.

Requirements

High school graduate with two years trade school in building maintenance or equivalent experience. Minimum of two years experience in commercial building maintenance with expertise in one or more of the following: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building repairs.

Pay is $10.62 per hour, plus an extra $2 per hour for the audit shifts, which run through the night.  Typical schedule is 11pm to 7am.

Resort Services

Responsible for configuring, maintaining, and supporting the enterprise Server/Network infrastructure. More

NOTE: this position is based at the resort, in Big Bear Lake, due to the operational nature of the work.  We will most likely not be filling this opening until sometime in August 2015. 

This includes Windows Servers in a VMware Environment, switches, routers, SAN (Storage Attached Network), firewalls, VPN, web servers, system health, backups and data recovery. Will also need to support production systems, desktops, laptops, and mobile devices as necessary.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Configure, maintain, and support VMware / SAN cluster and related Virtual Machines.
  • Configure, maintain, and support several Windows Server 2003/2008/2012 environments including Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP.
  • Proactive patch Management for Windows Servers, VMware, EMC, and all related network hardware.
  • Configuration and maintenance of Sonicwall firewalls, Dell switching equipment, HP/Cisco routing equipment.
  • Provide hardware and software troubleshooting across the enterprise.
  • Monitor server and application workloads and performance, adjust environments as necessary to ensure proper performance of POS and back office applications.
  • Review, maintain, and configure security policies across the enterprise to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare and update infrastructure documentation (VMware, servers, network diagrams, process flows).
  • Work with I.T. team to develop and implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Analyze, design, and improve I.T. infrastructure. Recommend system changes and enhancements.
  • Support of core Point of Sale systems which include Siriusware, RetailStar, and EZWaiver.
  • Administration of user accounts across numerous systems (Windows, Email, POS Systems, VPN Access etc).
  • Support of Microsoft Office Environment (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, et al).
  • Perform routine audits of systems and software (including licensing counts and hardware counts). Keep internal documentation up to date including processes, procedures, and network diagrams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (I.E. MIS, I.T., Computer Science) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience configuring and supporting an enterprise VMware environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience installing, configuring, and supporting a Windows Server 2008/2012 domain environment including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, MS Deployment Tools.
  • Expert knowledge of Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012 and related technologies such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP.
  • Experience installing and supporting Windows XP, 7, 8 operating system in a Windows Server environment.

Manages PCI Compliance efforts through research of requirements, identifying gaps in the IT environment, and remediating through implementation of technical controls.  Manages security posture by monitoring vulnerability scanning and attacks, blocking and/or reporting to responsible individuals, and working alongside Information Systems Administrators to validate and remediate vulnerabilities.

Communicates complex Information Security concepts to staff of varying technical levels.  Reviews and updates security standards on a regular basis to address new threats, new industry practices, and to incorporate new technologies.

Registers Guests into and out of hotel. Assists guests in making, changing and canceling reservations. More

Provides information regarding the hotel services and meets guest needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Completes pre-check in process. Greets and registers guests into and out of hotel. Sells other Mammoth services such as lift tickets, bike park tickets, events etc.

Hotel phone operator. Completes daily checklist to insure operational consistency. Dispatches bell persons, housekeepers, shuttle and maintenance service employees in response to guest requests and follows up. Provides information about rooms, hotel, ski area and local area.

Computes bills, collects payments and resolves billing disputes. Deposits guests valuables in hotel safety deposit boxes. Performs related services as requested by Front Desk and Management. Uses empowerment levels to satisfy guest experience. Cross training in alternative departments and properties provided.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent. Computer experience and familiarity required. Adaptible to learning new computer systems. Hospitality training preferred.

Acts as a dispatcher and recorder for the department. This is a non-skiing, indoors position.

Requirements

Performs First Aid room duties at any of the First Aid rooms. Room attendant candidates must have current American Red Cross Emergency Medical Response, EMT-1, WFR (Wilderness First Responder) or Outdoor Emergency Care (NSP) and current certification for CPR (CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Health Care Providers). You must be at least twenty-one years of age.

Proof of current First Aid and CPR certifications are required prior to hiring on or about Thanksgiving 2015. (Please bring original cards, photo copies are not accepted).

Cards need to be valid at all times during the season (if your card will expire, you must re-certify prior to expiration.)

There are no part-time positions in this department and room attendants generally work full-time schedules, 5 days per week, including weekends and holidays.

Minimum qualifications of current Level 3 PSIA/AASI or International equivalent and five (400 hour) seasons as a full time instructor. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Computer literacy (MS office, SIRIUS ware), strong written and verbal skills are essential.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Advanced level of Alpine Skiing (sorry no Telemark Skiing or Snowboarding), training in slope-specific first aid, hill safety, Avalanche control and Mammoth Mt. Operations.

Requirements

Patrol candidates must have current American Red Cross Emergency Response, EMT-1 or Outdoor Emergency Care (NSP) and current certification for CPR (Professional), including:

 (1) Rescuer adult, infant & child;  
 (2) Rescuer CPR.

You must be at least twenty-one years of age and have advanced alpine skiing ability.  Ski Patrollers are hired from this group.  Employment will be contingent on skiing ability.
