This is our final update for the '08-'09 ski season here at Tamarack Cross Country Ski Center.
The Mammoth Marathon on Sunday, April 5 was very successful, with over 100 racers competing. To find the results of that race, go to www.farwestnordic.org and click on race results.
All of our end-of-season events (Biathlon, Tour de Taste, and Marathon) were successful and we would like to thank our many volunteers for making them happen. We couldn't do it without you!
Our last day of the season is this Thursday, April 16. So everyone come on up for a few more beautiful days of skiing. The snow is good, and the air is springlike. Starting Friday, April 17, the forest service opens the lakes basin to multi-purpose use.

Join a naturalist-guided tour on cross country skis or snowshoes during winter full moons.
The tour includes equipment, guide for the evening, trail access, a hot (non-alcoholic) beverage and dessert by the Lodge fireplace. Alcoholic beverages are available at the bar. Maximum group is 15 participants. $40 per person.

Nancy Fiddler, one of North America's top female skiers has participated in two Olympic Winter Games and captured 14 National Championship titles. She and her staff of instructors present a season-long winter fitness program for beginner to expert skiers.

Historic Tamarack Lodge
After exploring nearby cross-country trails, settle in with a Hot Toddy beside the massive stone fireplace inside historic Tamarack Lodge's cozy lobby. This rustic lodge has been welcoming guests to the shores of Twin Lakes since 1924.
Enjoy a warm drink or stay in a cabin or lodge room with rustic simplicity or deluxe accommodations. The Lakefront Restaurant serves the Eastern Sierra's finest food in an intimate, candle-lit setting.
