Snow Report - Updated: May 17, 2008 8:25 AM
Greetings skiers and snowboarders,
This weekend, Saturday and Sunday, May 17-18, is the ideal spring skiing weekend with warm temperatures in the 50s and 60s, sunny skies, a light breeze and enough snow to last through Memorial Day Weekend. Mammoth announced yesterday that we will close for the season after operations on Monday, May 26, so enjoy the final days of winter and get your spring skiing and snowboarding in while you can.
Exciting news! The Spring halfpipe is now open in Saddle Bowl (off Face Lift Express). Look for jibs and jumps up there too.
Mammoth Mountain is open top to bottom out of Main Lodge, planning to operate Broadway Express, Stump Alley Express, Face Lift Express and the Lower and Upper Panorama Gondola starting at 7:30am. Thunderbound Express and Discovery Chair are scheduled to start at 9am. During spring hours, all chairlifts close at 3pm. As always, chairlifts are wind and weather permitting.
This weekend you can purchase lift tickets at Stump Alley Express ticket booth or Main Lodge ticket counter. Spring Value Season Lift tickets are $64 for adults, $47 for youth and $32 for children and seniors.
Please remember that natural and man-made obstacles do exist so always ride with caution.
See you on the slopes!
