When is the deposit due and how much is
it?
The first deposit is $2000. This is due at the time of contract
signing.
How do I reserve a wedding venue and date?
Your Catering Sales Manager will help you to determine if your
preferred venue is available on the date that you are interested
in. Once you have this narrowed down, a hold will be placed
on the date and venue of choice and your Catering Sales Manager
will draft and send you a contract. Once reviewed, you will
sign your contract and send it back with your first deposit. Once
you received your countersigned contract, your wedding date and
venue are official.
When do I need to choose a menu?
The first step is selecting your wedding date and venue.
Your menu selection can take place after that, and does not have to
be finalized until 30 days prior to your wedding date. It is
recommended that a menu be tentatively selected a few months before
your wedding to allow for a tasting and adjustments well
before your wedding.
When do you need our tentative and final count of
guests?
Your tentative guest count is due upon contract signing.
But, of course, numbers are expected to fluctuate, so the final
count is due 30 days before your wedding.
How do I set up group discounted lodging for my
guests?
A group rate will be set for your guests at the Village
Lodge, Juniper Springs Resort or the Mammoth Mountain Inn. Your
guests can make their own reservation by calling 800.MAMMOTH or by
logging on to mammothmountain.com. A "how to" will be provided
along with your signed contract. These rooms are not guaranteed,
and are booked out of general availability.
Can you give us suggestions for florists, bakeries, DJs
and ministers for the area?
Of course! We have a long list of suggested vendors that will be
sent to you once we receive your signed contract and
deposit.
What is the 20% service charge and how does it differ from
a tip?
The 20% service charge pays for the banquet staff assigned to
service your wedding. These charges are industry standard and
these are fees that are placed on all catered functions. This fee
does not include additional gratuity for any of your vendors or
wedding coordinator which are at your discretion and are not
required.
Can we make special menu requests and what is the
process?
Specialty menus can be made by contacting your catering
representative. These include vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free
options.
Can we do a tasting?
Yes. Tastings can be arranged typically within 3-5 months of your
wedding. You may select to taste 2-3 entrees, up to 5
appetizers and specialty cupcakes. Some items may only be available
seasonally. Tastings are for two guests, typically the bride
and the groom.
