Disabled Sports Eastern Sierra (DSES) is proud to host our nation’s brave Wounded Warriors for five days of therapeutic outdoor recreation at Mammoth Mountain.  The 8th annual Operation Mountain Freedom and DSES invite everyone to join in the Arch of Honor on Thursday, January 30 at 8:45am at the Woolly statue at Main Lodge. Bring your ski poles to create the archway and applaud our service members.

Monday, January 27, WELCOME TO MAMMOTH
2:00 ish - Wounded Warrior charter bus arrives from San Diego at The Westin Monache
4:46 & 5:12 - Commercial flights arrive ~ DSES will do pick ups
5:50 – 8:30 - Bus to MLFD fire station #1 for BBQ dinner ~ Driver welcome     

Tuesday, January 28
7:30 - Breakfast at the Westin
8:30 - Bus from Westin to Main Lodge
8:45-9:00 - Wounded Warrior Meet and Greet at Mountainside Conference Center (MCC)
9:00-9:30 - Get rentals and fit for adaptive equipment
9:30-12:00 - On-snow instruction MMSA
12:00-1:00 - Lunch for participants at Broadway Marketplace; seating in the MCC incl. speaker
1:00-3:30 - On-snow instruction MMSA
4:00 - Bus from Main Lodge to Westin
6:15 - 9:00 - Bus to private dinner at the Curry’s 52 Ridge Way ~ Driver welcome

Wednesday, January 29
7:30 - Breakfast at the Westin
8:30 - Bus from Westin to Tamarack Cross Country Ski Center
9:30-12:00 - Nordic Skiing at Tamarack
12:00 - Bus from Tamarack to Main Lodge
12:15-1:00 - Lunch for all wounded warriors at Broadway Marketplace; seating in the MCC incl. speaker
1:00-3:30 - On-snow instruction MMSA
4:00 -  Bus from Main Lodge to Westin
5:00 – 7:00 - Bus to Burgers Restaurant for dinner. Canine Companions for Independence presentation.
7:00 – 8:30 - Bus to Edison Theatre for the movie “The Movement” One Man Joins an Uprising

Thursday, January 30
7:30 - Breakfast at the Westin
8:45  - Bus from Westin to Main Lodge
9:00 - Arch of Honor ~ Everyone welcome…bring ski poles!
9:15 - Group photo at the Woolly Mammoth statue
9:30-12:00 - On-snow instruction MMSA
12:00-2:00 - By Invitation Only-Celebratory Luncheon at Mountainside Conference Center, Main Lodge., Pickel Meadow Color Guard
2:00-4:00 - Board bus for Tubing at Woolly’s Tube Park & Snow Play or more skiing!
6:30-8:30 - Bus to Good Life Café for Farewell Thank You Dinner.  Wounded Warriors, volunteers, supporters, staff and donors and bus driver welcome!   

Friday, January 31
8:00 - Check out of Westin and load charter bus or ESTA bus for breakfast at the Breakfast Club
9:30 - Charter bus leaves for San Diego – bag lunches for participants
9:30-12:00 - On-snow instruction as needed
