Learn about our new Keeping Mammoth Kids Safe campaign and other safety initiatives.  Team members will be available to chat about safety and answer your questions during the event.

Beacon Basin Transceiver Clinic

Saturday, January 19 & 26 | 9am | Beacon Basin
Join our Ski Patrol team for a free two hour transceiver clinic. Bring your own gear! The beacon park is located at the bottom of St Moritz (skiers right, near Jill's run).

Snowcat & Snowmobile Demonstration

Saturday & Sunday, January 19-20 & January 26-27 | 11am-3pm | Canyon Lodge
Sit in a Snowcat or hop on a Snowmobile and learn about the on-hill vehicles we use daily.

Sweep with Patol

Occurs daily | 4pm | Top of Facelift Express and High-Five Express (Chairs 3 & 5)
What's a sweep? It's our version of tucking Mammoth in and wishing her a goodnight. Take the last run of the day with members of our Patrol Team, as they "sweep" the Mountain to make sure no one is left behind, injured or lost. Learn about just one aspect of Ski Patrol's job!

Day in the Life of a Ski Patroller and Mountain Operations Tour

Sunday, January 20 | 8am | Main Lodge Patrol Room
Spend a day with the men and women in red!  Experience a day in the life of a Mammoth Ski Patroller and learn the different aspects of this exciting and challenging job. Explore the mountain through the eyes of ski patrol, check out the "gun station" where avalanche control is conducted after snow storms, learn about our weather methods and watch a demonstration with our avalanche dogs.

Space in this activity is limited, the first 15 guests to meet in the Main Lodge Patrol Room will be selected to participate.  Lift ticket/pass required.  Discounted lift tickets available to participants only.  Must be 18+ years old or have a parent present.

Safety Squad Question of the Day

Occurs daily | 8:30am-4pm | Mountain-wide
Find a member of our safety squad in the RED jackets, answer the safety question of the day correctly and win a prize!  Daily questions can be found in our Snow Report at MammothMountain.com.

Woolly's Parade – The Safety Week Edition

After a day on the slopes join Woolly and his Ski and Snowboard School friends for music, dance, face-painting and a parade through The Village at Mammoth!  A must-attend kids event for all ages!

Join Woolly and a Hill Safety Team member for kid-friendly apres ski.  Learn about on-hill Safety and color your own poster to enter the National Ski Area Association contest.  Occurs at The Village Lodge (Grand Sierra), Mammoth Mountain Inn and Juniper Springs.  Ask the Front Desk where Apres with Woolly is that day.
