Horseback Riding

Experience the majesty of the Sierra the way cowboys and explorers have for generations - on horseback! One of the easiest ways to enjoy the backcountry trails in the Mammoth Lakes area, horseback riding is a great way to get off the beaten path, discover the natural, untouched beauty of the mountains and even see wildlife. Options abound - local pack outfitters offer experiences ranging from hour-long trail rides to multi-day expeditions to remote backcountry lakes and peaks. Whether you choose a short jaunt or an overnighter, you'll have your own horse and feel what it's like to be a cowboy, whether you don Wranglers, western boots and a Stetson or not! Saddle up and see the best of the Sierra.
