Cross-Country Skiing
For an unforgettable winter
experience, escape to the serene tree-lined trails of Mammoth's
scenic Lakes Basin. Nineteen miles of freshly groomed skating,
classic and snowshoe trails await cross-country skiers and
snowshoers of all abilities. In the tranquility of the backcountry,
only the sound of winter birds and your own locomotion fills your
ears as the bustle of town dissolves. Experience the Sierras in a
way few others do: come play in the woods.
Group Lesson (Traditional Striding)
Covers the basics of cross country skiing in a fun group class. Great for families. No experience required.
At 10am and 1:30pm daily
Lessons are an hour with 1 or 2 people and 90 minutes with 3 or more

Private Lessons by the Hour
We welcome progressing cross country skiers who wish to improve their on-snow skills to spend an hour or two with one of our qualified professionals. You may be surprised how much more fun cross country skiing can be!

Learn to Skate Ski - Daily Clinics
We'll give you an intro to the technique and show you the right way to skate on cross country skis. To get the most out of your lesson we recommend prior cross country skiing experience.
Instruction is offered every day at 12pm in a group setting.
Does not include equipment or trail pass. Some XC Ski experience required.

"Getting Started" Package Lesson
No Experience required! The best way to begin cross country skiing; recommended for all beginners.
Includes 1-hour group lesson, trail pass, rentals, plus use for rest of day
