The Unbound Terrain Parks at Mammoth Mountain – New to Park

Start small to go huge.

Everyone starts somewhere. Mammoth is dedicated to the progression of skiing and snowboarding in a safe and fun way, which is why we put as much effort into building 2-foot jumps as we do into 60-footers. We hope you approach riding the same way – with progression in mind. Start small and eventually you will go huge.

Parks and Pipes Safety Code

Look Before you Leap - Scope around the jumps first, not over them. Know your landings are clear and clear yourself out of the landing area.

Easy Style It - Start small and work your way up. (Inverted aerials not recommended).

Respect Gets Respect - From the lift line through the park.

This is a partial list. Be safety conscious.

Officially endorsed by: NATIONAL SKI AREAS ASSOCIATION.

Where to start - 2 beginner terrain parks

Disco Park

Family fun is the name off the game in Disco Park where small bumps and beginner jibs offer groms and their parents a chance to get a little radical. At Discovery Chair (a.k.a. Ch. 11)/Main Lodge.

Wonderland Park

Learn steeze with ease. Featuring our one and only mini-halfpipe and a small jump line. At Chair 7/Canyon Lodge.

Tip: Hit the Adventure Zones
Many of our Team Riders will tell you that riding with friends and having fun is their favorite part about snowboarding. Keeping it fun everywhere on the mountain! We've got some spots where hidden paths through the trees will keep your mind sharp and your friends hot on your trail – especially in fresh snow. Can you find our Adventure Zones? Look for wooden signs tacked onto the trees to find where to start. Take the A-Zone Challenge and try finding them all in one day. Mammoth Mountain Adventure Zones: Woolly's Woods (Discovery Chair), Twilight Zone (Forest Trail), Alligator Pit (Chair 17), Voodoo Chute (Eagle Express). Bonus points if you can find the igloos, too. Igloos are built with an inflatable system using solid snow strong enough to hold a Snowcat on the roof. Find them near Discovery Chair, Chair 25 and Canyon Express.
