If you've ever been snowmobiling, you know it's a great way to find fun far from the beaten path. If you haven't, well, it's time you tried. Mammoth Snowmobile Adventures is the perfect outfitter for first-timers or seasoned experts. Experienced guides and top-of-the-line equipment grant you access to California's greatest playground including: thousands of acres of trails, pristine backcountry, spacious meadows, historic landmarks and lush pine forests.

2012 - 2013 Pricing

Purchase 2 days in advance and save $10 on a 1.5 hour Adventure Tour for a single rider.  Valid Monday-Thursday, non-holiday.

Where is Snowmobile Adventures located?

  • Mammoth Snowmobile Adventures is located adjacent to Mammoth's Main Lodge and is the only snowmobile outfit operated by Mammoth Mountain Ski Area.

Are helmets included with the rental?

  • Yes, helmets are included. Rental clothing is also available.

What are the minimum age requirements?

  • Minimum age of tour passenger is 5 years. Minimum age to drive a snowmobile is 16 years old with a driver's license and a parent present.

What type of insurance is provided?

  • Guided tours include $600 deductible insurance. Purchase of additional insurance (only $6 per rental) is recommended. There is no insurance coverage on self-guided rides.

 

Holidays: Christmas and New Years (December 22, 2012 - January 6, 2013) and Presidents Weekend (February 16-23, 2013).

Walk-ins welcome, based on availability. Reservations encouraged. Dates of operation are weather and conditions permitting and are subject to change.

Get the best of both worlds with the 50/50 Tour. Start with a guide who will show you tips and terrain, followed by Self-Guided time to head wherever your heart desires. Ask at check-in to learn more about this exciting way to experience snowmobiling.

Sometimes life gets in the way of the best of plans, and that's OK. We invite you to come to Mammoth at a later date. For cancelations more than five days prior to arrival, you can receive a full credit for the same product OR a full refund.  Within five days, you can receive a credit for the same product no later than 4pm the day before arrival. Credits must be redeemed by the end of the current season. For cancellations after 4pm, no refund or credit will be issued.
