Mountain Biking

Mammoth Bike Park

Discovery Zone

Along with expert instruction, our two beginner trails and a dedicated beginner chair lift make it easy for new bikers to enjoy the Bike Park. Our Pioneer Practice Loop is designed specifically to help new riders improve their riding regardless of skill level or experience.  

Mountain Horseback Adventure

After receiving expert riding instruction from professional cowboys, campers hit the trail for a true horseback adventure through the mountains with their guides. Fly Fishing

Rock Climbing

Mammoth Adventure Center

Mammoth Mountain’s rock climbing wall introduces campers to climbing in a safe, “no fall” environment. They learn about climbing strategy, roping, and attempt progressively challenging routes up the rock face. 

Paddle Boarding

June Lake

The area surrounding Mammoth Lakes is blessed with some of the prettiest lakes and rivers in the Eastern Sierra, and June Lake is one of the most impressive in the region.  Campers mount their crafts and have a blast learning how to paddle board in clear blue mountain water. 

Swimming

Nothing beats swimming in mountain lakes and streams, and Mammoth campers have multiple opportunities during the week to cool off and play at our favorite mountain swimming holes. 

Camping

Following a day of mountain horseback riding, campers will set up camp, pitch tents, and sleep under the stars on an overnight camping adventure.  Food, fire, games, and ghost stories are all part of this traditional camping experience. 

Zip Lining

Our 306-foot long zip line extends over a small creek and the Pioneer Practice Loop, located on the back side of the Adventure Center.  Campers take the ride of their lives then come in for a soft landing as they sail nearly 25 feet in the air on this safe and exhilarating apparatus. 

Bungee Trampolining

Our EuroBungee is like flying without wings!  This amazing multi-station bungee trampoline safely allows campers to bounce nearly 25 feet in the air to flip and perform gravity defying stunts.

Learning

In addition to expert sport and activity instruction, Mammoth campers learn about the mountains, wilderness and wildlife around them.  Expert naturalists from Yosemite National Park and the US Forest Service teach campers about their mountain environment and how to become responsible outdoor enthusiasts.

Calling the backcountry surrounding Mammoth Mountain an embarrassment of riches is an understatment.  Our region is blessed with famous geological features, natural wonders, and scenic beauty, and our campers get the full experience.

2. Our Facilities

From our world-class Bike Park with beginner lifts and "progression" terrain to our summit learning center, rock climbing wall, zip lines, and Adventure Center, Mammoth provides its campers with the best equipment, service, and access to summer adventure on the west coast.  When campers aren't sleeping under the stars, they're resting their heads slopeside in the Mammoth Mountain Inn.

3. Our Staff

Mammoth Kids Summer Camp is directed by the same team that runs one of the most successful youth mountain programs in the country. Mentoring young people, coaching athletes of all abilities, and introducing beginners to the sheer awesomeness of mountain activities is what our staff does everyday of the year.

4. Our Commitment to Safety

On any given day during the winter, we have more seasoned professional safety experts on duty than many camps have people on their entire staff.  Our rigorous commitment to safety does not diminish during the summer season.  "Keeping Mammoth Kids Safe" is the name of a year-long awareness campaign we've been running this year, and it is our #1 daily priority at Mammoth Mountain.
